The mission of The Addy Foundation is to provide timely, meaningful support to organizations fostering innovative and proven solutions that best serve those in need.

Our commitment and leadership

The Addy Foundation was formed in 2015 by Bill and Lydia Addy to further their long history of philanthropy and volunteerism in the North Texas region. Bill and Lydia have designated The Addy Foundation as a legacy foundation with the hope that it will outlive them and continue serving the region for generations to come. The Addy Foundation, which is invitation only, primarily serves the North Texas region in the areas of; Civics and Community Engagement, Culture, Education, Health and Social Services.

Founders

William M. Addy, Founder

William (Bill) Addy is the Executive Chairman of ISN Software Corporation, which was founded in 2001. Bill is an active volunteer in the North Texas Region in addition to being a member of the Dallas Chapter of World Presidents’ Organization, an Executive Board Member of Southern Methodist University’s (SMU) Lyle School of Engineering, a member of the President’s Advisory Council at Princeton University and the Board President for North Texas Public Broadcasting (KERA). Bill holds an MBA from Harvard Business School and a bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering with Honors from Princeton University.

Lydia B. Addy, Founder

Lydia Addy is a long serving Dallas volunteer who has focused her energies on improving educational opportunities and community revitalization in North Texas. Lydia is a philanthropist and active member of several non-profit boards where she has served in fundraising, development, strategic initiatives, branding and marketing, and executive searches. She is also a 2015 Graduate Fellow of Leadership ISD. Lydia is a graduate of the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and the JL Kellogg Graduate School of Management at Northwestern University in Evanston, IL.

LEADERSHIP

Ben Leal, President

Ben has almost 20 years of non-profit and government experience. He began his career in the Office of the Governor for the State of Texas, and later served as a Legislative Director for the Texas House of Representatives. Ben has spent the last ten years at Jubilee Park and Community Center in Dallas, first as Program Director, and then the last 9 years as the CEO. Ben is a graduate of Texas Lutheran University with a BA in Political Science focusing on Public Policy and Urban Development with a minor in Economics. He has also completed the Strategic Prospective in Nonprofit Management at the Harvard Business School. Additionally, Ben is a 2012 Graduate Fellow of Leadership ISD and a 2018 Graduate of Leadership Dallas. Ben serves on appointed committees for the City of Dallas and Dallas ISD. He is on the Executive Board of The Dallas Arboretum and The DFW International Board of Directors. Ben is proud to call Dallas home and loves the culture, diversity, arts, theater, and sports that Dallas has to offer.

Sarah Scholl, Secretary

Sarah Scholl has over 20 years of experience within customer serving roles with an emphasis on Executive Assistance for the past 9 years. Originally from Orlando, FL, Sarah has resided in the city of Dallas since 2001 and is an avid animal lover. She volunteers her time and philanthropic efforts to animal rescue, and has four adopted rescue animals. Sarah and her husband enjoy living in the historic “M” streets district of Dallas and have been renovating their 1948 historic home.
